Construction has started on the mews houses in The Hague city centre.
First, we stripped the building back to its shell. Before pouring a foamcrete floor, Helm-Ruijgt installed plumbing and electrical pipework.
The existing first floor – in bad condition and not strong enough to comply with building regulations – was replaced with a brand new pine wood floor.
In June we started installing metal stud walls to the inside of exiting walls to provide thermal and accoustic insulation.
Next month will see the replacement of the roof, installation of underfloor heating systems and connection to electricity and water supply.
